 The Board of County Road Commissioners has scheduled public hearing during their Sept. 4 regular meeting at 1:15 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to listen to comments/ questions concerning a request from the Michigan County Road Commission Self-Insurance Pool for the Roads Commission.

Ordinance No: 2 Of 2018

Ordinance Addressing Floodplain Management Provisions

Of The State Construction Code

Community Name: Suttons Bay Township, County: Leelanau

An Ordinance to designate an enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the

Township of Suttons Bay located in Leelanau County, and to designate regulated flood hazard areas under the provisions of the State Construction Code Act, Act No. 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended.

The Township of Suttons Bay ordains:

Section 1. AGENCY DESIGNATED. Pursuant to the provisions of the state construction code, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, the Construction Code Office (community official/position title or name of other entity, agency, firm) of the County of Leelanau is hereby designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Township of Suttons Bay under Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, State of Michigan. The County of Leelanau assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout the corporate limits of the community adopting this ordinance.

Section 2. CODE APPENDIX ENFORCED. Pursuant to the provisions of the state construction code, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, Appendix G of the Michigan Building Code shall be enforced by the enforcing agency within the jurisdiction of the community adopting this ordinance. www.michigan.gov/deq 2 EQP9242 (2/2017)

Section 3. DESIGNATION OF REGULATED FLOOD PRONE HAZARD AREAS. The

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Study (FIS) Entitled

“LEELANAU COUNTY, MICHIGAN (ALL JURISDICTIONS)” (study title) and dated

August 28, 2018, and the Flood Insurance Rate Map(s) (FIRMS) panel number(s) of

26089C0265D, 26089C0270D, 26089C0290D, 26089C0380D, 26089C0385D, 26089C0425D, and 26089CIND0A (Number(s)) dated August 28, 2018 are adopted by reference for the purposes of administration of the Michigan Construction Code, and declared to be a part of Section 1612.3 of the Michigan Building Code, and to provide the content of the “Flood Hazards” section of Table R301.2(1) of the Michigan Residential Code.

Section 4. REPEALS. All ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 5. PUBLICATION. This ordinance shall be effective after legal publication and in accordance with the provisions of the Act governing same.

Elmwood Township Zoning Board Of Appeals Notice Of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. before the Elmwood Charter Township Zoning Board of Appeals to consider:

Case #2018-02 request by Gene Meeuwenberg at 9180 Hoxie Rd, parcel number 45-004-029-017-05 for a 20 ft variance from the required 50 ft side yard setback.

The files may be viewed at the Township Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or online at www.leelanau. cc/elmwoodtwp.asp.

The public hearing will be held at the Elmwood Township Hall, 10090 E. Lincoln Road, Traverse City. Individuals can make public comment or submit written comments, in person, at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted prior to the public hearing by mailing them to: Planning and Zoning Department, 10090 E. Lincoln Rd, Traverse City, MI 49684 or planner@elmwoodtownship.net. Leelanau County Road Commission Notice

Public Hearings-Leelanau County Road Commission

The Board of County Road Commissioners has scheduled public hearing during their Tuesday, September 4, 2018 regular meeting at 1:15 p.m. at the Suttons Bay garage located at 10550 E. Eckerle Road, Suttons Bay, Michigan.

The purpose of this public hearing is to listen to comments/questions concerning a request from the Michigan County Road Commission Self- Insurance Pool for the Roads Commission to adopt two resolutions:

The first is a “Resolution to Adopt Reasonable Policy Regarding Fees Pursuant to MCL 224.19b” for Communications Service Providers.

The second is a resolution to revise the Road Commission’s “Telecommunications and Video Service Provider Right-of-Way Permit Policy” and Fee Schedule.

Any questions about this hearing should be directed to the Road Commission office.
